In this part I present a sample WPF application that displays native tooltips. I\u2019d planned to walk through some of the code here, but that turned out to be a bit tedious, so you\u2019ll have to make do with the comments in the sample.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><a title=\"Download NativeToolTip.7z\" href=\"https:\/\/www.quppa.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/NativeToolTip.7z\">NativeToolTip.7z<\/a>      <br \/>11,271 bytes; SHA-1: 4ABD39CE46F5386E6D2DFF4A788AC3231DFA8765<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Limitations:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a title=\"MSDN: ToolTipService.Placement Attached Property\" href=\"http:\/\/msdn.microsoft.com\/en-us\/library\/system.windows.controls.tooltipservice.placement.aspx\">ToolTipService.Placement<\/a> must be set to \u2018Mouse\u2019 (the default). Custom positioning is not available. (You could implement it with a tracking tooltip, but that\u2019s easier said than done.)<\/li>\n<li>Native tooltip content is limited to simple strings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Remarks:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>TTM_POPUP doesn\u2019t work if the \u2018rect\u2019 field of the TOOLINFO isn\u2019t set.
